“Grande Boyz” Shirt
This shirt is symbol of the Combat Search and Rescue (CSAR) joint operation of the US AIR FORCE and US ARMY in Afghanistan. The Air Force required a platform that was more capable in areas performance and functionality. The CH-47 Chinook was that platform, and so, was given the call sign “GRANDE”. This joint operation was the first of its kind.
The mustache on the front is a commemorative representation of the call sign “PEDRO” previously assign to aircraft in Afghanistan. The green feet on the left arm is a symbol of the tradition carried on by personnel who were pararescue or honorary. The right arm bares the “American Flag” which needs no introduction or description.
